QuietPrint

Uncompromising imaging

As designers, we work on behalf of designers to eliminate any compromise between acoustics and aesthetics. Our QuietPrint™ technology applies high-resolution images to our smooth, sound-absorbing felt surface without compromising its acoustic properties.

This tool gives designers a limitless capacity to create design features on a medium that installs more easily and often costs less than the materials we can imitate.

Designers can work from our own image library or provide their own high-resolution images to imitate hard materials, create murals, introduce patterns, set custom palettes, or choose from our collection of contemporary artworks from our Acoustic Art range.

Many high-resolution printing techniques lay a hard-setting paint or ink over the top of the base surface, which fills in the air gaps in a porous surface, causing it to reflect rather than absorb sound. Other printing technologies “run” in the material, like a drop of ink on a blotting sheet, resulting in poor resolution printing as the fine edges of an image blurs.

QuietPrint is applied to our FilaSorb felt material with high precision, ensuring that air gaps in the porous material remain open to absorb noise.
