Voila Café

Custom printed panels save a cafe from uncomfortable and unwanted noise.

Beautiful cafes too noisy for conversation – a fundamental problem for designers of these spaces. How to balance the requirements of aesthetics and acoustics? How to design for the ears as well as the eyes? Voila Café in Melbourne asked these questions of Angela Baldwin Interior Design and Acoufelt. Together they found the solution in the form of a wonderful photograph of the redwood trees from the nearby Otway forest. Towering redwoods are printed, at very high resolution using our QuietPrint™ technology, onto acoustic panels, giving the whole cafe a visual focal point while Making Quiet™ beautiful.
